Payment of Fees
The DEC operates a 4 term year. For 2016 our invoicing terms runs concurrent with Primary and Intermediate schools. A term fee is payment for 9 weeks training and there can be some terms where a 10th week occurs. The 10th week is considered free when all lessons are attended when paying term fees. There are occasions when the 10th week can be considered week 1 of another term. An outline of our invoicing term is available from the office - please phone and request one if required. Casual fees are for classes randomly attended and payment is for all classes attended.
The term fee is to be paid each term by the receipt of invoice or before. A casual fee is only paid when classes are randomly attended and is to be discussed with your teacher. Private and second lessons are accounted by number of classes attended. These can be paid each week or by account at the end of each term.
A 10% discount is offered when three or more members of the same family are attending classes. A discount is also provided when attending more than one vocational ballet lesson per week as seen in the fees list. A 10% discount is also offered when a student is learning 3 or more dance disciplines (does not include Pointe or Stretch / Conditioning) per term. When invoices are prepared the 10% discount with the most savings is used for each family as both 10% discounts will not be applied.
Payments can be made by Internet Banking, cheque to the Dance Education Centre, or by cash and passed to your teacher. The fees can be posted to:
Dance Education Centre
PO Box 8347
Fees can also be paid in Dance Boutique by Eft-pos.
For Internet Banking: 03-1548-0097949-00
Please ensure the students name, the term the payment is for and branch is loaded into the reference fields.
The DEC at no time offers credit and fees are to be paid in full for each term. Any outstanding fees are initially discussed, can be followed by a letter or phone call, and will be finally resolved with a debt recovery agency if unpaid. Any costs incurred in the recovery of the debt are added to the account.
