Chloe Gisby
From only 3 years my dance journey began in a small town called Putaruru. My instant love for the stage sparked my interest in all things dance and performance. Myself and both my siblings, Tessa and Jake, (both who work in the dance industry), started the journey of travelling to Tauranga to study all dance styles at DEC. My time at the DEC started shortly after at age 4 and I have been at the studio ever since! I have been competing at dance competitions of a variety of styles for 14 years. I have received a PACANZ nomination and will be attending this prestigious competition in 2022. I have completed my Advanced Levels of RAD Ballet, and all the levels that DEC has to offer. I have been trained by both Debbie Gooch and Prue Gooch from a very early age.

I have completed DEC assessments in Contemporary, Ballet, Urban and Musical Theatre. My love for teaching and helping other students sparked from my love of choreography and creativity. I have been teaching classes and available as a relief teacher, as well as tutoring school troops within Tauranga. The Tauranga Intermediate team I coached in 2021, competed at Dance NZ Made and placed first overall in the Intermediate division against tough competition. I am excited to be on the teaching staff at DEC as of 2022, so that I can share my love, knowledge and experience of all things dance, and nurture pupils to a high standard.
